"Dear Keith -
The Lexington High School Council would like to thank you on behalf of the whole school for performing for us. It was wonderful to learn more about CODAs and that many Codas are involved in the deaf community like you.
Your performance was hysterically funny. Your acting, facial, expressions and body language made your stories funnier. The experience you had as a hearing child with deaf parents made sense to us in some ways because most of us are deaf children with hearing parents. You also included students onstage for a short instruction on a brief skit. That was funny to see people we know on stage doing things they were told to do. You have the ability to make us laugh and feel involved.
Thank you for inspiring us and celebrate our deafness and culture to go with it. Thank you for the laughs."
"...the show was cool. It showed what it was like to live in a family where there are deaf and hearing together. the show also gave us tips on how to act and perform."
"...your ASL performance made us feel good and want to celebrate being deaf more! We are glad that there are hearing people that understand and enjoy being a part of the deaf world."
"...some day most of us will have hearing children so it is nice to know they can learn and be an expert at ASL like you. We kept remembering your stories during the week."For more information contact Keith Wann
